AUGUST 2017 This incident was recorded on 9 August at St Joseph Roman Catholic School, ward 6. threatened Obert Bhiri with unspecified action when he expressed concern on Dr Grace Mugabe’s behavior in South Africa in relation to the assault of a young woman. On 24 August Bhiri said the First Lady’s actions were shameful to the nation. In response Majange issued threats saying he was going to face the wrath of Zanu PF in 2018. Bhiri is said to be living in fear after receiving the threats. On 11 August in Guruve North ward 19, village heads collected monetary contributions towards Heroes’ Day commemorations claiming to be following an instruction from war veterans. Villagers were forced to contribute $5 per village. Bernard Mondo and Amon Mangena instructed village heads Collen Muzhona, Amon Gunyere, Big Chiwara, Zivai Kubvunya, Eniwel Muzava, Jacob Chengeta, Chiputura, Keddie Gondo, Givemore Hwata, Zvikumbo, Gody Bonga, Adam Chikwati, Mark Kanounama, Crybaine Muzhona Chagwiza Nyagomo, Robson Kwenda and Cosmas Kadimu to collect community contributions. It is alleged that Zanu PF village heads White Gangarahwe, Wisdom Motsi and Talkmore Katumba forced an NPP activist Constain Ngwena to surrender NPP regalia at Gangarahwe village ward 8 in Guruve South. On 25 August they ordered Ngwena to surrender all T/shirts, which belonged to NPP led by Joyce Mujuru. They also threatened to assault Ngwena if they ever saw him wearing opposition party regalia in the village. It is alleged that an MDC-T activist Shame Musemwa was threatened with eviction by Zanu PF village head Simon Chogwiza when he made a negative comment about the first family. Musemwa said, “It didn't need a rocket scientist to tell that President Mugabe and his ‘talkative’ wife have failed the nation”. In rebuttal Chogwiza said as a beneficiary of Zanu PF allowances he would not tolerate anyone who opposed the President and his family. He also said Musemwa’s days were numbered ahead of the 2018 elections It is alleged that Zanu PF youth leader Naison Mupandeyama forced a vendor Tapiwa Chiduku* to attend a ward 9 ruling party meeting in Mazowe central. On 24 August Mupandeyama sent 6 ruling party youths who force marched Musarara to attend the engagement. The victim abandoned her business and when she returned some of her goods worth $35 had been stolen.
