The general citizens make up most of the victims of the August human rights
violations at over 89%. August saw an increase in the proportion of CCC victims, who
are at 10.5%, as compared to 6.1% in July. CCC supporters suffered the brunt of the
recorded assaults and intimidations during the month, as their campaign activities
were thwarted by Zanu PF supporters. Persons with disabilities were assaulted,
together with the elderly in Uzumba, Mashonaland East for attending a CCC rally. The
contribution of persons with disability victims increased to 0.5% for women PWDs
and 0.4% for men.
