Zanu PF topped the list of human rights violators by contributing 51.1% of all
perpetrators of human rights violations, followed by the Zimbabwe Republic Police
at 28.3%, Zimbabwe National Army at 4.1%, just above CCC at 3.8%, and municipal
police at 3.6%. Municipal police were involved in the demolition of informal traders’
structures conducted during the month. The continued swell in the Zanu PF
contribution to perpetrating human rights violations can be attributed to the
increase in the party campaign activities in preparation for the 2023 elections, where
citizens are coerced to attend party meetings, instructed on whom they should elect,
even against their will.
