It is alleged that Zanu PF activists, Eriah Maringisa,
Washington Matare, Maxwell Mutape, and Shaudai Kanhanga
led by Councillor Mike Kamuzonde addressed a village
meeting issuing threats to opposition activists at Nyamaka
village ward 5 in Guruve North. On 5 October Kamuzonde
and his colleagues told villagers that the days of opposition
activists were numbered in the ward. They said that no
opposition activist will go for Biometric Voter Registration
(BVR) unless they are registered under Zanu PF cell structures
and committed to attending ruling party meetings. They
