Ngezi has politicised recruitment. and teachers had no stationary. Landlord Peter Chuma, a Zanu PF supporter, evicted *Barron Dimuka from an apartment he rents in Kadoma Central around midnight because he defected to National Peoples Party. Chuma is said to have come to this decision when he was having a Zanu PF Rimuka executive meeting early that day. Dimuka’s property was forcefully removed at night by Zanu PF youths led by Chuma. The property was damaged as the hired youths recklessly removed it. Kingsdale Housing Cooperative in Norton, under the instruction of Cuthbert Mupami, demolished homes with the help of armed police on 25 June. Mupami got the cooperation of armed police after he claimed to have been threatened by machete wielding residents. Residents contested paying $27 per square meter as demanded by Mupami, insisting on paying $5 instead, in accordance with a court order issued in 2015. Those who resisted paying had their homes demolished during the night. Mupami is accused of over subscribing the housing cooperative and is now evicting some occupants to make way for others who had paid but had not been allocated land. The residents claim to have been given land by the ruling party. One hundred families from each ward in Norton were organized and given this land by the political leadership on the understanding that they would pay for the development of the land. *Allen Danda and *Noreen Shirichena were arrested by police and spent the night in police custody on charges of trying to obstruct the evictions. They were released after MP Temba Mliswa engaged a lawyer on their behalf. *Marvelous Gondo and *Evelyn Mhike, who stay in ward 5 of Rimuka, Kadoma Central, were among the people that were allegedly forced to buy old Zanu PF membership cards for $1. During this process, on 8 June, people were forced to provide their identity numbers, phone numbers and full names. The ruling party supporters that are selling old membership cards were led by Lydia Maphosa, Zanu PF ward 3 chairperson. Gondo and Mhike said that upon paying for the cards they were told that they no longer have to worry about their personal safety, they were also told that they would soon receive new cards. Zanu PF supporters assaulted MDC-T chairperson, *Proud Kanengoni, at a soccer tournament in Jompani, Sanyati on 25 June. Kanengoni was assaulted for wearing MDC-T regalia. Among the perpetrators were Patrick Musona, William Ruzvidzo and Brian Ruzvidzo from Nyamatani and Makwechere under chief Hozheri. The incident was reported to police (RRB number 2039782). Kanengoni was advised to seek medical assistance. Pupils ranging from early child development to grade seven were turned away before lessons could even commence.
