It was reported that villagers in Zaka Central’s ward 8 were frog marched to attend a political rally called by the
Choice and
legislator of the constituency Hon. Paradzayi Chakona at Chipoto business centre. The Zaka Zanu PF District chair
association
is alleged to have deployed youths to force villagers to attend this rally. All known opposition supporters were also
forced to attend this rally. Some neighbourhood watch personnel who comprised of Tichafa Marasha, Webster
Muchechetere, Innocent and Walasi Manyathi were also named as perpetrators. The rally started at 08:00hours and
ended at 14:00hours. The villagers say they were deprived of time to work in their fields.

On the 29th of March, it was reported that the Zanu PF officials in ward 18, Triangle allegedly barred the opposition
assembly
MDC-T youths from holding their planned party youth wing meeting. This came against the background of the
MDC-T youth having notified and the police having cleared the meeting. On the day of the meeting when they had
already gathered at the Boxing Arena in Triangle, the Zanu PF officials came and disrupted this meeting saying that
they could not allow this opposition meeting to take place under their watch. The officials further threatened these
youths and told them that 2018 is going to be tough for them and they must brace for the worse things which are
going to happen to them.
