to An assault and destruction of property case was reported in Chegutu after an intra-party violence incident

in ward 6. Councillor Dzeka, Veronica Maromo, Costa Harrison and Emson Mukandiwa of an MDC-T faction

allegedly aligned to Charlton Hwende assaulted a woman only identified as Mai Jojo and destroyed her

of property. The case was reported to police. Dzeka is a Councillor in ward 9 but was seen in ward 6
assembly and campaigning with the help of his accomplices. A dispute erupted when Jojo confronted Councillor Dzeka

on why he was conducting personal meetings in a ward that he was not a member. Dzeka got furious and
with the help of his accomplices went on to assault Jojo.

of Zanu PF party wings are alleged to have been moving around the Muzvezve area collecting $2 from each
assembly and household. The system of collecting money from residents is a common and made compulsory before

national and some party events. Those who fail to pay are accused of being opposition party supporters.
Mrs Mbizo is a committee member responsible for collecting the money. On the 8 th of April 2017 she
collected the money in village A and village B which is in ward 13 near Kundayi Railway Block 4 Primary.
The villagers were forced to attend the meeting. It is alleged that people are being denied their freedom
to choose a political party especially during election periods.

assembly and formerly with Zanu PF and is now Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) youth Coordinator based in Kadoma. He
