In Buhera West Magaya village, it was reported that
*Royal Munda was turned away from a Zanu PF
meeting on 25 June despite being a Zanu PF member. It
was alleged that he was turned away by Vakisai
Chakanetsa and Jaricha Komboni on the basis that he
was participating in a number of activities hosted by
non-govenmental organisations.
In Buhera South at Muzokomba Primary School some
teachers are allegedly sticking posters of MP Joseph
Chinotimba in their classrooms. A teacher, *Rodwell
Chitengu, said teachers are following an instruction they
were given at a Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (TUZ)
workshop held in May at Muzokomba High School. The
workshop is said to have been conducted courtesy of
MP Chinotimba. Another teacher who also has the MP’s
poster in his classroom said he was doing this out of fear
and safeguarding his life considering the upcoming 2018
polls. Parents and guardians of pupils have expressed
disapproval of the move by MP Chinotimba.

Zanu PF Guruve district chairperson, Maxwell
Nyagomo, allegedly forced villagers to attend a Zanu PF
meeting at Nyamuseve farm ward 21 in Guruve North.
Nyagomo is alleged to have instructed war veterans to
monitor those who would not attend. He stated that those
who fail to attend are traitors and for fear of being
labelled, villagers were forced to attend the meeting on 1
June.
In Mazowe Central at Kakora village ward 10 on 2 June
it is alleged that during an MDC-T village mobilization
campaign Zanu PF councillor Chipo Chogwiza told
MDC-T supporter, *Wilfred Mushanawani, to prepare
for the worst ahead of the 2018 elections. These threats
have haunted Mushanawani since suspected ruling party
activists burned his homestead to ashes in 2008.
It is alleged that Zanu PF youths in ward 12, Bindura
North clashed over ownership of land at Chimsiv near
Goche farm on 2 June. During the violent clashes Tafara
Bonde and Tinotenda Bonde assaulted *Lawson
Hungwe. Hungwe was accused of stealing the land and
was assaulted after he was seen pegging a piece of land
that Tafara and Tinotenda claim to own and have been
illegally parcelling out. Tinotenda and Tafara are the
sons of Zanu PF Gushungo branch chairperson Samuel
Kaseke Bonde.

Zanu PF supporter, Jimmy Gayison, allegedly threatened
the security of *Howard Kadogo who resides in
Ridgeview ward 26 Mount Darwin South. It is reported
that Kadogo attended birthday celebrations of National
People’s Party (NPP) leader Joyce Mujuru on 17 April.
Kadogo’s public support of an opposition political party
offended Gayison. On 6 June Gayisoni is alleged to have
said he does not tolerate sell-outs and added that
Chimutanda’s family should go and live with Mujuru.
