Like previous months, January showed the
number of male victims of violence being
more than that of women. Male victims were
252 slightly down from last month’s 260;
while female victims were 94 a considerable
decrease from last month’s 142.
The number of male perpetrators of violence
for January at 286 is minimally less than that
of 290 last month.
Women stood at a
fraction of that at 48 for January; notably this
figure was more than double the figure for
women perpetrators
in December
which
stood at 22. This shows that men were more
likely to perpetrate violence than women; and
that
there
was
an
increase
in
women
perpetrating violence.
