JULY 2017 shirts visited and threatened former ZanuPF ward 10 chairperson, Benjamin Muzondiwa. It is alleged that the youths came to the victim’s residence and initially took an empty tin and started beating it making loud noise. It was then reported that when the victim came out to see what was happening, the three youths then confronted Muzondiwa and allegedly told him if ZanuPF wins the coming by-election and the 2018 polls they will come back and deal with him accordingly. Still in Chiwundura at Muchakata Business Centre it was reported that on 22 July the ZanuPF district chairperson, Nobert Muputa, told party supporters at a meeting that they should adopt a radical approach when dealing with the opposition going into the 2018 polls. It was alleged that Muputa further told the gathering that MDC-T party supporters must be assaulted. He then ordered the ZanuPF members who had attended this meeting to go back to their branches and devise ways of making the MDC-T fear to contest in Chiwundura in 2018. Muputa said he expects feedback on the task during their next meeting scheduled for 3 August 2017.
