with party internal disagreements. At the meeting, Chengetai
Dzikamunhenga allegedly stood up and demanded the resignation of Kizito
Chimhembe from the chairperson position because of his close ties with
Zanu-PF. Chimhembe responded by saying that he was being crucified
because some colleagues suspected he was advancing the Nelson Chamisa
agenda of wrestling power from Tsvangirai. He further said that he
lawfully elected and would not throw in the towel before completion his
term. Chamisa, legislator for Kuwadzana is said to be leading a faction
against Tsvangirai. The two have, however, since denied there are factions
in the party.
