The majority of the victims and perpetrators
petrators of political violence are in the 30 to 49 age bracket
which reflects their active participation in political activity. Most of the people in this age group are
facing limited livelihood opportunities and the above trend is congruent with the obse
observation that
the economic contraction is a driver of conflict.
