A total of 73 community members, 33 men and 40 women, including 7 PWDs were present. Stakeholders present were encouraged to act and contribute to the documentation of human rights abuse cases. The event aimed to commemorate International Human Rights Day and share knowledge about fundamental human rights and their significance in promoting and upholding peace and co-existence. Another objective of the event was for participants and stakeholders to get together and discuss how important it is to promote freedom, dignity and justice in Chiredzi through artistic performances, including plays, talk shows, poems, and sports. The sports tournaments, held on the day, became a unifier for many as politicians from different parties and citizens came together to cheer soccer teams without any violence and conflicts noted. Stakeholders discussed various practical methods to reduce violence and inequality in the communities during the plenary session.
