Political rights were further violated in Lupane Centre, where a ZANU PF activist identified as Jonathan Vundla was going around the shops instructing shopkeepers to campaign for the ruling party. It is said that Vundla made a warning remark that the shopkeepers should at least display a ZANU PF poster in their shops to be protected from any problems. Vundla warned that those who fail to comply might have their licenses revoked. Vundla further said that the party was determined to fight if it loses once more in Lupane East constituency in the upcoming byelections.
