In Kuwadzana 5, ward 38 unknown assailants invaded
the home of MDC-T Kuwadzana councillor Winston
Janjazi on 19 July at midnight resulting in malicious
damage of property. Janjazi reported that at midnight the
assailants destroyed the perimeter wall and damaged
several windows at his home. An attempt to break into
the house was unsuccessful as Janjazi’s wife screamed
to alert neighbours and that is when assailants escaped in
two unidentified vehicles. The case was reported to
Kuwadzana 2 Police Station under (RRB 3220779)
although no perpetrators have been identified.

An MDC-T activist *Byron Zuze was assaulted by
ZanuPF youths after he was spotted wearing MDC-T
regalia in Mbare, ward 3 on 25 July. Zuze was stopped
on his way to the market by a gang of five ruling party
youths led by Changara well known as Chairman. Zuze
was taken to ZanuPF offices where he was assaulted and
left unconscious close to Mbare police station. MDC-T
youth representative for defence and security Tafadzwa
Chirombe arranged for him to receive treatment at a
local private clinic. The case was reported at Mbare
police station (RRB 3204696). Changara who has been
implicated in this attack was associated with vandalizing
Ngaritutwe bottle store and assaulting MDC-T members
in a case that is still under investigation since March.

In an incident recorded in Harare central, on 19 July
unknown assailants invaded Duriro bar owned by MDCT Vice President Elias Mudzuri resulting in malicious
damage to property. Mudzuri reported that at around
2am the assailants broke in through the wall surrounding
the premises and burnt a gazebo. Fire fighters came in to
extinguish the fire but property worth thousands of
dollars was destroyed including fridges, television sets,
chairs, tables and phones. Mudzuri confirmed the
