*Takaedza Burombo and *Roger Takuranavo who are rank marshalls at Mbare Musika were assaulted by Zanu PF
youths. The two had established a rank in Southlea Park and were assaulted for resisting as Zanu PF youths wanted
to take it over. It is reported that members of the Mbare Chimurenga Choir also joined in the assault accusing the two
of insulting President Mugabe. The case was resolved by Mbare Police Internal Security Intelligence officers and the
two maintained ownership of the rank.

The Epworth Local Board is currently servicing stands and reallocating people. In ward 5 near Candle tuckshops,
Zanu PF youths led by youth chairperson, Dunmore, arrived and started throwing stones at people who were
surveying and pegging the land. Council cars were damaged and the workers had to run for their lives. The council
had to move to ward 7.

MDC-T and Zanu PF youths clashed and attacked each other with stones at Highfield West. MDC-T youths had been
marching and chanting slogans in Cherima, Geneva, Gazaland and Muzevere when Zanu PF youths met them and
started throwing stones. One wooden cabin was destroyed in the chaos. No one was injured in the attack. No police
report was made.

Right to Shelter
In Harare South houses were demolished when settlers were forced to vacate land belonging to Bak Storage and
Logistics. An estimated 3000 families were left homeless. The company alleges to have filed an application at the
courts and given residents prior notice, however, residents had their property destroyed before they could find
alternative shelter.
