Masvingo
Chivi, Mwenezi and Chiredzi districts remain in critical need of food as they did not get any
meaningful harvests due to erratic rains and poor soils. The price of food is not affordable for most of
communities. On August the 10th in Chiredzi West in Ward 3 and 4 Zanu PF councillor Francis Moyo
who was distributing mosquito nets from the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare denied an MDC-T
activist a mosquito net , accusing him of having de-campaigned him during the last election and for
belonging to an opposition party.

Manicaland
Generally most of the districts had good harvests
that are expected to provide adequate food for
household consumption. However, communities
which did not get good harvests would require food
supplements and subsidies to increase quantities of
affordable food.
Mashonaland Central The province recorded 6
cases related to politicization of food and other
forms of aid.
The rest of the provinces Mashonaland East, West, Bulawayo, Matabeleland North, South and Harare
Metropolitan reported no incident on politicization of food and other aid distribution in the period
under review.
