22 March Right to In Penhalonga ward 21, a victim Pearson Chimimba*, having notified the police of a demonstration against poor demonstrate service delivery as a result of water shortages and poor road infrastructure was threatened. It was reported that he and petition was brought before the Chief Superintendent Mr Ndou, and Officer commanding Mutare Rural in a bid to be convinced to call off the intended demonstrations he was spearheading. The Chief Superintendent is alleged to have assembled a panel of security agents and the Officer in Charge Mutare Rural Police Station to quiz Chimimba on his intentions. At this session the victim was allegedly accused of hiding behind the Tajamuka pressure group and told that he was not going to be allowed to proceed with the demonstrations. 22 March Freedom of In Muchawaya Township, Chipinge East it was reported that Arnold Mtisi was physically attacked by Busai Expression Nyabanga for wearing an MDC-T t/shirt. This prompted retaliation from Mtisi who fought back and the situation degenerated into a fist fight. 26 March Freedom of In Ward 11 Mutare North, it is alleged that village heads Wendumba, Pundo, Kwembeya, and Charuma called for association meetings in their respective villages. These meetings were said to have been convened after a directive from Chateu Political rights Ndoro who is councillor for ward 11 and also a Zanu PF member.It is reported that the meeting was to educate voters on voting issues.. It was also reported that the village heads told the gatherings that all the names of those who would have cast their votes will be noted down for further action in case Zanu PF go on to lose the polls. Some of the victims of such threats and were among those at these gatherings included Nyasha Musakwa*, Alerta Chimhini*, Gerald Motsi and Svotwai Chisvo. 16
