Political intolerance, intimidation and harassment against members of the Citizens Coalition for

as Thomas Mhlanga was forcing citizens to attend a ZanuPF gathering at King Mine in Masvingo.
He said only those who would have attended would be allocated maize seed and those that fail to
attend will not get anything. In ward 33 of Masvingo West, it was reported that a ZanuPF activist
identified as Mr. Dzimba visited King Primary School and threatened to expel all teachers. It is
alleged that Dzimba told the school authorities that he had the power to expel teachers as the
school harboured Citizen Coalition for Change activists (CCC). He further noted that they all
needed to be punished as they did not turn up in the clean-up campaign that was organised by
the district.
Two cases of assault were recorded at ward 6 of Gutu West, where it was reported that Ben
Mumanyi, was physically attacked by a Zanu PF member identified as Tirivanhu Mbirimi. It is said
that Mbirimi had warned Munyami to withdraw his candidature for standing as Citizen Coalition
